I read people’s post that black people have become lazy, stagnant and don’t fight for their rights like our ancestors once did. They think we are flakey when it comes to boycotting politics, sports and luxury brands. What else are we going to do? Stop watching sports altogether? Stop shopping in general? I feel like we should create our own football league and stores, but not enough of us are in it together like we used to be. I personally do not believe there is much more we can do
Xennials is a new term coined by Sarah Stankorb. It’s a micro-generation of people born between 1977 and 1985. I think a lot of Xennials were frustrated that they were clumped in with Millennials. We didn’t have all the privileges and perks of Millennials. I think it’s fair to say that most of us feel that we were the last of the Mahicans. For one, we didn’t have social media to vent to. And our parents probably would be in jail for beating us after calling the cops on them
I was raped when I was three years old. I never said a word because I didn’t know I was supposed to or how to say something. I kept it to myself for almost a decade until I was almost adopted. But guess what happened when I spoke my truths? The statutes of limitations in Indiana of 7 years did not allow prosecution to occur. I have always wondered how these other women have been able to come forward and have justice for their rape events, but not everyone else.
Because it does. It is the very fabric that has woven humankind together in America. Regardless of how you feel about race relations and think they disappeared right along with Jim Crow laws, you are wrong. Race is still a very underrated systematic problem that has been wreaking havoc on minorities in America for centuries. Did you know that race was first used to separate White people from everyone else as the ultimate race? And this wasn’t just a Black and White thing; Asians, Hispanics, Mexicans and Jews were lynched
The problem isn’t race at all. The problem is that dark skinned folks still refer to themselves as Black people. All persons of color have been stamped with this derogatory term for hundreds of years now and we have delimited ourselves to a color. I have come to the conclusion that the moment we find out our true ancestry and get rid of the term Black people, we will be so much better off. Every time I read a post online, I notice this debate about how black someone is.
Okay, I’m sick of this sh*t. This blog will walk you through a journey of a Black woman who is fed up with trump and those he has brought back to the surface to complete their mission of wreaking havoc on minorities in America. The Source of my Anger I have been on the writing edge ever since the Charlottesville terrorists had the opportunity to rally “peacefully” while killing and beating innocent protesters and toting guns in front of our beloved police officers. The news media was sickening as I
Sometimes I wonder how people would respond if Obama was in Trump’s predicament right now. I mean seriously. Could you imagine how ridiculous people would act if Obama was under federal investigation for allegedly obstructing justice and colluding with the Russians? Not just any country, but Russia who has sanctions on them from the US and the UN. Wasn’t this the same guy who trashed Hillary for being under investigation? Not only are you now under investigation, but it occurred while you were serving as the President of the United
I get so annoyed with how sexist our nation is. I have read two articles this week about the oversexualizing of women’s clothing. One article was about a school note calling girls thots for wearing “revealing” clothing and stating they are distractions to boy’s learning environments. And the second was about a picture Jessica Simpson posted of her 5 year old daughter wearing a bikini. I’m just like seriously, why is this even an issue? The fact that someone thinks it’s even an arguable statement to say that women’s clothing
Okay, seriously. Why are we always so shocked when a man disrespects a woman, right here in America, the land of the immoral and the home of the free? Women are not respected as equal human beings to men – period. Just say it. Stop trying to justify it and make excuses, it is what it is and how it’s always been. The woman has always been considered a side piece or a half a rib, half human, weak and subpar compared to men. We are not whole until man
I was really trying to calm down with my Facebook posts and blogs. I’m not sure if anyone noticed or not, but I was. And then this happened; two new hashtags for dead Black men surfaced and I completely lost it. #AltonSterling #PhilandoCastile It has become quite apparent that legally shooting Black men is the new form of lynching. The new American terrorism against Black folks in 2016. Racism is no longer defined by people calling us Niggers and refusing us jobs because we are Black. Nah man, that was
